DAY 21 THURSDAY, 15TH
OF NOVEMBER El Campello Day 2 in the area
The JovA hotel has quite a nice
spread for breakfast, eggs to order, toast as needed, cold cuts, cheese, fruit,
yogurts, orange juice, etc. Coffee etc…The sound of the Med outside the window
did not disturb us too much but the thrashing rain did! It has let up a bit but
we notice a bit of a leak under the French doors from the balcony so we grab a
bath towel and stopped the water! We
have time to kill as we will meet up with Gill at 2:00PM for lunch somewhere
and then who knows?
The owner drove us back down to
town versus a costly cab ride. Such a sweet thing to do, I’m not sure if he was
alarmed by the raucous, tipsy senior citizens and making sure we got home
safely! Anyway , we stopped at another of Gill’s locals with Scots and other friends for an
after cap. Having had liquors at Colmar, Hierbas etc… Booze flowing! We really
are lightweights, but we kept up until we decided we needed to head back to the
hotel. I have no idea when that was only that we were done! Gill is such a
special friend, we have known each other for close on 50years and that takes a
lot of celebrating! A lot of catching up and reminiscing about years past. It
is wonderful to still have such lasting loving friendships. You are simply the
best Gill and we cherish your friendship!
A little comment on El Campello,
an expats dream, a lot of Brits who don’t speak Spanish even though they have
lived there for years, which is why Gill spends a lot of time being amazing,
going to Drs’ and hospital visits and
translating for them! Very quiet during the winter season and a lot of places
closed and on vacation until things pick up again!
We are heading out for Cartagena
in the morning so we have to reorganize everything!
